Mackenzie Knick is a Resident in Counseling with a background in clinical mental health counseling and music therapy. She brings a creative, trauma-informed perspective to therapy, drawing on years of experience supporting children, adolescents, neurodivergent teens, and individuals facing complex life challenges. Inspired by her own transition into motherhood, Mackenzie is passionate about supporting women throughout the perinatal and postpartum journey through both counseling and expressive arts.

How Mackenzie Works

Her work is grounded in helping clients feel supported while honoring each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. She is especially passionate about supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and other women's health concerns.

Before focusing on women's mental health, Mackenzie specialized in neurologic music therapy, palliative care, and counseling for children and adolescents. She has supervised teams of music therapists, contributed to curriculum development, and co-authored scholarly work exploring music therapy with migrants, immigrants, and refugees.

Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys baking, hiking, and creating art.
